Benefits of mindfulness:

When we are in a more conscious state of mind, we are able to stay in the present and worry less about the future without thinking about the past. We think more clearly and become less critical, allowing us to think more clearly and make better decisions, especially in times of stress. We will be able to decrease anxiety and depression decrease and appreciate things more.

By being present and aware of our emotions, we will develop emotional intelligence, the ability to perceive, understand and control our emotions.

How does it work?

Nowadays, mindfulness has become one of the most widely used techniques by companies and individuals to deal with stress.

From India to the West

The history of mindfulness has its beginnings in India, approximately two thousand five hundred years ago. However, the origin of the word "mindfulness" is more recent, when this technique reached the West. Mindfulness is a translation of the word "sati" in Pali, a language spoken at that time. "Sati" means remembering, understanding the word remembering as bringing back to the present.

The origin of mindfulness stems from ancient Buddhist practices. The story goes that Buddhism was born in Kapilavastu, on the border between India and Nepal. In that place lived Siddhartha Gautama, a prince who decided to abandon luxuries and start a humble life of asceticism and retirement after realizing that outside his palace there was poverty and suffering. He became Buddha, the Enlightened One.

One of the practices of Buddhism is meditation and it is based on three pillars:

  • To be aware of the present moment, of the here and now.
  • Observe what we feel, what we think and what happens without judging it, whether it seems positive or negative.
  • Learn to feel compassion for ourselves and for the rest of the living beings.

Some of our stories

"I hope these learnings and skills reach everywhere, it's what we need to fix many outstanding problems in today's world."

After receiving my first workshop I have realized how important it is to apply compassion to others. You are doing a great job. I definitely needed something like this to understand what is going on.

"I have discovered my superpowers and feel much more confident with the tools I have been given."

Greetings to all. In my life, as a woman raised in Latin America, I have had many obstacles that I have had to face just because I am a woman, but now, with all these tools my life will no longer be the same. I am ready to take on the world.

Bringing gratitude to the present and working daily with positive affirmations got our staff to identify, many of them felt lost and out of sync since our office transitioned to 100% telecommuting.

They use techniques that make you feel calm and supported. Their meditations and programs are amazing. They can't replace a real therapist, but it's certainly an excellent starting point.
